MAKE PILLOW COVER:
Cut a piece of fabric for the front piece and 2 pieces of fabrics for back side.
Make a finished edge of the back envelope enclosure by placing the back piece rectangles right side down on the work space.
Assemble the pillow cover’s front and back pieces by placing your front piece right side up on your work space. Next, place the back pieces right side down on top of the front piece.
Clip the corners of the cover to reduce the bulk, be careful to clip closely without cutting the seams. Use a point turner or a scissor to help you get a crisp corner. Lightly press your homemade completed cover.

GLUE EAVES & PETALS: To the back of each leaf, apply fabric glue and stick it to the cream felt in the desired position. Start with the largest petal and apply fabric glue to the base and tip of each petal, stick the base of the petal in the center of poinsettia, fold up gently and stick tip of petal to the pillow allowing it to arch slightly. Repeat with the other large petals. Now, layer down medium sized petals on top of largest ones with glue only applied on the base. Use the same process with the smallest petals.
GLUE POINSETTIA CENTER: Out of cream felt, cut small circles and colour each with a permanent yellow marker. To the back of circles, apply fabric glue and stick them in a cluster to the center of each poinsettia. Before assembling the pillow cover, allow fabric glue to dry.
SEW PILLOW COVER: Assemble and pin the cover keeping poinsettia blooms inside of the cover. Sew pieces together leaving a half inch seam allowance and an opening on the bottom edge which should be large enough to insert a pillow.
