Grape and Wine Christmas Tree

This is especially applicable for those in the wine country and enjoy wine. Then again you do not have to drink the wine yourself. The decorations can make splendid gifts after the festive season is over. Alternatively, use the implements that a person who deals with wines would use such as corkscrews, wine glasses, bunches of grapes, miniature fermenting casks and the like. Be creative or simply ask one who is versed what is used to make good wine. The ideas are endless and can be used in the following years if you choose to carry the theme over several years.

The Edible Christmas Tree

food, food everywhere and we’ll get to eat it from the time we start unwrapping the presents until it’s time to take the tree out when the winter begins to warm up. You can use anything from candy to biltong, fresh fruit to dried and candied fruit, baked goods which do not spoil quickly. This is the best idea for the green folks as everything will be used including the lights which will be stored and reused the following year. Very little waste to think about. One just has to start thinking of how to bring the variety in the subsequent years.

Butterfly Theme

You will borrow heavily from nature. Bring the warm outdoors with the tree. Pinecones, clip-on-butterflies, fake and dried flowers, stuffed animals which live in the forest and can be found in and around trees. Multi-colored lights will offset the tree in a natural way. If you prefer a monochrome color, ensure that all the natural colors blend with the choice made.
