Scrooge:
We all know the famous writer Charles Dickens. Scrooge is a musical retelling of Dicken’s classic Christmas tale, A Christmas Carol. It has various versions, one came out in 1935, the other came out in 1970. The 1970’s one was even nominated for 4 Oscars! It’s a must watch Christmas movie.
A Christmas Story:
The 1983 Christmas gem ‘A Christmas Story’ continues to be a favorite with people, even though decades have passed since its actual release. It is a beautiful story about how a young boy wants a gift for Christmas, desperately wishing for an official Red Ryder BB rifle, but his parents refuse. The boy Ralphie has to face quite a few disappointments in the quest for his ultimate gift, but nonetheless the quirky nature of the film makes it a must watch.
Miracle on 34th Street:
Another Christmas Classic which has been made into so many versions. For some the original movie continues to be the best version of them all. The movie is about a mother and daughter’s relationship, which is based on lots of love and affection, but when it comes to Santa Claus, the mother is quite cynical about his existence. As a result, she does not let her daughter believe in its existence, either. But later turn of events, makes the mother think otherwise. Watch the 1947 version to find out more!
Kids Christmas Movies:

Home Alone:
This movie, which came out in 1990 had made Macaulay Culkin a child star overnight. It made $533 million and had stayed in the box office chart for 12 weeks. It also stars Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci as the burglars that are trying to get into the house of an 8 year old kid left home alone by his family on Christmas day.
Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas:
Another popular Christmas movie for kids is the ever so famous Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The character of Grinch made quite an impression, when it was first seen on screen. It continues to be a memorable character.
The Muppet Christmas Carol:
Combine Charles Dickens and the Muppets and you have got yourself a true holiday classic. The memorable character of Ebenezer Scrooge is played by Michael Caine. The famous Gonzo appears as none other than Charles Dickens, himself, to help narrate the story.

He gets bored with doing the same thing over and over for Halloween, each year, so when he discovers Christmastown, he decides to have some fun by creating some mischief. He kidnaps Santa Claus! This movie is delightful and just a little bit scary, but very entertaining.

Elf:
Will Ferrell is known for its comic talents and we can see him demonstrating them in his movie Elf. He plays the role of Buddy, who is a human raised among elves. To say the least, the movie is absolutely hilarious.
Bad Santa:
Another funny Christmas movie is Bad Santa, which is about a washed-up, wise cracking Department Santa Claus, who is more mischievous than nice! Plenty of laughs, guaranteed!

Mickey Mouse has a worldwide fan following. Its Christmas special is also super fun to watch.
